FC Bayern Munich is one of the largest and most historic football clubs in the world. As part of its regular activities, the club’s

official Bangladeshi fan club, “FC Bayern Munich Fans Bangladesh,” organized its annual meeting today.

FC Bayern Munich Fans Bangladesh, established in 2015, received official recognition from FC Bayern Munich in 2018. Over the years, the fan club has grown into a vibrant community of more than 45,000 supporters across the country. The stories and activities of this Bangladeshi fan community have been highlighted multiple times on FC Bayern Munich’s official social media platforms, reflecting the strong bond between the club and its supporters in Bangladesh.

The meeting was graced by a special virtual appearance from Tom Bischof, a current FC Bayern Munich player and one of Germany’s emerging young talents.

Among those present at the meeting were Fan Club President Arafat Alif, Senior Vice President Shahedul Azam, Vice President Rifat Ratul, and General Secretary Al Amin. Also in attendance was Mahir Sarwar Megh, who has gained widespread recognition in Bangladesh’s sports arena for his self-designed jerseys and is the son of renowned journalist couple Sagar–Runi.

During the meeting, Tom Bischof engaged in a warm and interactive exchange with the members and extended his greetings and congratulations to all fan club members on the occasion of Bangladesh’s Victory Day.

The fan club regularly organizes match screenings in Dhaka, where supporters gather to cheer together, celebrate the spirit of German football, and experience the beauty of FC Bayern Munich as a united community.

As the fan club celebrates its ten golden years, it aspires to bring an FC Bayern Munich player to Bangladesh for a fan meetup in the coming years, and ultimately hopes to welcome the FC Bayern Munich team to the country in the future. This vision has been shared with FC Bayern officials during several meetings in Germany, where the response from the club representatives has been positive and encouraging.

The fan club aims to connect German football with Bangladesh by fostering cultural exchange and sharing the values, passion, and traditions of both countries in a meaningful and inspiring way.

It is worth mentioning that at last year’s annual meeting, Canadian star Alphonso Davies of FC Bayern Munich joined as a special guest. At the conclusion of that meeting, he gifted an official FC Bayern Munich jersey to the fan club—an unforgettable and proud moment for “FC Bayern Munich Fans Bangladesh.” In addition, Davies also sent a special video message to the fan club, congratulating them on surpassing 30,000 followers on Facebook, further strengthening the bond between the club and its Bangladeshi supporters.
